Oh hi there!
I’m Marina, a certified forest therapy guide (through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, ANFT).
I’m based in Dundas Valley, on the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabeck, Attiwonderon, Mississauga, and Mississaugas of the Credit.
I feel right in nature.
I haven’t always been a nature girl. When I was young, I mostly stayed inside unless I was playing soccer or walking somewhere. Things changed in my early twenties when I started camping and hiking with friends. I loved and craved the feeling when I was outside in these natural spaces, despite some fear (any insect with legs, the dark night, getting lost).
As life went on, I learned the health benefits of nature and I continued to seek outdoor activities, while also becoming an advocate for the environment and an optimist for our future on Earth. Becoming a forest therapy guide felt like the right next step. While completing my guide certification, I realized the incredible impact of slowing down, paying attention, and receiving.
I want to help others feel the positive impacts of dedicated time in nature. I also want others to remember their connection to nature so that we all help to protect this Earth.
The beauty of Canada
I have always loved exploring. As I developed my love of camping, hiking, and nature through local trips in Ontario, I was still curious about what else is out there:
What is the Pacific coast like along Vancouver Island…. and the Atlantic ocean in all those different provinces… how do the shorelines differ… What about the Rocky Mountains from all those different communities… Quebec has a lot of nature, what’s it like… and how about the Prairies that everyone wants to skip through?
Well this year, 2026, me and my partner can answer some of these questions. We are exploring Canada with our SUV!
Follow along!
