On Aidan’s birthday, we finished up what was left of packing, cleaned up and set off around noon. Saying goodbye to Aidan’s parents was a big moment since we currently live with them. Without them, we would not be able to do what we’re doing. Much gratitude and appreciation for Alex and Anne for being such supportive and good-hearted people.
Of course, we had to stop at The French Bakery in Dundas to see Pam and treat ourselves to a few baked goods for the road. We just needed to get through Toronto and the GTA to arrive at our first night’s destination – Sandbanks Provincial Park.
I expect this to be one of a few nights that we stay in an official park as we would rather save our money by sleeping in free/ wild camp spots. Our own set up is fairly self-sufficient, omitting some luxuries of course. We will just appreciate those amenities (washrooms, unlimited water and electricity) that much more when we do have access them.
Next stop – Quebec!
